And The New Pumpkin Candles Are...

Hi! It’s Brittany, again—owner & founder of Antique Candle Co.®. I've got such an exciting update on my quest to find THREE new pumpkin candles for fall...

Remember my blog, asking what pumpkin fragrances we should create?? Thank you so much for your thoughts on all things Pumpkin candles. I had so much fun thinking about all the ideas you shared with me. At the time of writing this, I read through almost 500 opinions, comments, and exciting ideas! ❤️ Sweet Pumpkin? Spicy Pumpkin? Sweet & spice-y? Adding other flavors? The possibilities were endless. Some of the wackiest & most creative ideas I read were: Pumpkin Pecan Waffles, White Chocolate Pumpkin, and Pumpkin Bourbon (which all sound DELISH). 😍

There were hundreds of amazing suggestions, but a few really stood out to me as potentially AMAZING pumpkin candles. Currently, I've narrowed it down to 5 of my favorite... I'm letting my team take it from here to sniff + quality test these five fragrances. Based on their feedback, we will have three pumpkin winners (winner winner, pumpkin dinner?! 🤣). Ready to find out the five fragrances we are testing?

    1. Pumpkin Apple
    2. Pumpkin Spice Latte
    3. Pumpkin Cake
    4. Sweet Pumpkin
    5. Pumpkin Patch

I think I was surprised the most by the apple with pumpkin aroma – I wouldn’t think to put those together in ways that you thought of! We're going to get to work on the apple, coffee, and sweet notes to try and make the PERFECT collection of PUMPKIN candles. How fun is this??? I must admit, it’s possible along the way we might not be able to nail all of these down in time. So if you have any other ideas that come to mind for this fall season, please leave a comment!

I’m pretty excited about Fall & we have already started making some fall candles that will launch in the coming months. Why are we making them so early? Well, keep in mind we are a small business – there is a small group of us making each candle. Wicking each one, printing on the jar, pouring & cleaning the candle, placing a lid on it, putting it in inventory & then placing it on the shelf for later. ❤️

However, we happen to be tracking ahead of schedule (BEST candle crew ever!!)…so I have released a few fall candles early.  We just haven’t made everything quite yet! Check out the fall candles we've made so far (more to come pinky promise)! 👇

Pumpkin coffee cake would be fun too or pumpkin oatmeal cookie!!

I would love the smell of pumpkin bars (the one with cream cheese frosting)

Maybe this more of a Summer scent, but what about a true Spanish sangria with notes of apple, orange, cherry, plum, deep red wine/burgundy??? This is inspired by the memory of a great little Spanish restaurant my husband and I used to frequently haunt when we were early on in our courting/marriage when we were still living on Long Island, NY. Great mom & pop restaurant with great food and AMAZING homemade Sangria!

Me again…what about Chestnut??? I remember growing up as a kid (Long Island, NY) and baking chestnuts in the oven (we didn’t have a fireplace to go the “chestnuts roasting on an open fire” route), but man…love the smell and taste of them! Definitely a childhood memory of mine during the holidays.

Late to the fall scent comment game…if you could make a candle that smells like how the Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Bread and Muffin Mix tastes like…let’s just say the line from Jerry Maguire. Yup, totally revealing my age now…
